Permude: Passengers boarding bus from Permude junction have been suffering under the harsh sun and heavy rains as there is no bus waiting shelter here. The shelter was dismantled as part of the renovation of the high range highway. Meanwhile, the local residents complain that bus shelter isn’t rebuilt yet even though traffic has been resumed on the renovated road.

Passengers who travel to Bantiyode – Permude, Permude – Dharmathadukka and Seethamgoli – Permude routes have been using the bus stop here. Buses to Paivalike, Banthiyode, Seethamgoli and Dharmadukka stop at Permude junction. Besides, the students studying in various schools at Angadimugar, Dharmathadukka and Kayyar too come here to board the buses.

There are no resting places for the elderly and women. Most people wait for the buses on the veranda of the nearby shops when it rains. This inadvertently affects the sales at these shops, especially during the busy hours.

The high range highway starts from Nandarapadavu and passes through Paivalike, Chevar, Permude and Angadimugar to Idiyadukka. Although the highway was renewed two years ago, the bus shelter isn’t built yet. Meanwhile, bus shelters have been built at various spots between Nandarapadavu and Chevar.
