Idukki: In a shocking case, a young man was found dead by hanging and a woman unconscious in a nearby stream on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Anandu Ravindran, a resident of Kuruvikkattuppara in the Anakkara-Chellarkovil region. Locals found the woman lying unconscious in the stream and rushed her to a private hospital in Anakkara. She was later shifted to another hospital in Kattappana for further treatment. The woman is a native of Ambalamedu in Anakkara.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. Vandanmedu police have launched an investigation.
