Kozhikode ∙ The Hello Residents’ Association from Ottapalam, Palakkad, on Saturday bagged the top honour at the 2024–25 Manorama Online – Malabar Gold & Diamonds Chuttuvattom Awards, which recognises the best residents’ association in Kerala. The award includes a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, a certificate, and a trophy.

The Snehasangamam Residents’ Association from Azhikode, Kannur, won second place with a cash award of ₹75,000, while the third prize of ₹50,000 went to the Ponnurunni Sahakarana Residents’ Association from Ernakulam. The awards were jointly presented by former Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai and Kozhikode MP M K Raghavan. Malabar Group of Companies Chairman M P Ahammed handed over the prize money.

Special jury awards were given to Unninagar Residents’ Association, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, and Skyline Ivy League Apartment Owners’ Association, Kakkanad, Kochi.

  • Urban Socio-Humanity Excellence: Skyline Grace Apartment Owners’ Association, Pala, Kottayam
  • Innovative Community Impact Project: Perikkoni Residents’ Association, Thodupuzha, Idukki

The winners were selected through a multi-stage evaluation process that involved over 2,000 associations across the state. The final round featured 12 associations. The judging panel was chaired by Dr Binoy T Thomas, professor and researcher at Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, and included Dr Ajayakumar Varma (former director, Kerala Suchitwa Mission), Mathews John (former Excise Joint Commissioner), and chemist Dr M G Vinod Kumar.
