The Alappuzha district collector has declared a holiday for all schools and anganwadis in Thalavady and Muttar panchayats of Kuttanad taluk on Tuesday due to flooding.

Meanwhile, in Pathanamthitta, the District Collector has announced a holiday for six schools functioning as relief camps and 15 others as a precautionary measure. However, previously scheduled examinations will be held as planned.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Kasaragod and Kannur districts, forecasting heavy rainfall on Tuesday. No alert is in place for any other district.

A yellow alert indicates the possibility of heavy rainfall ranging between 7 cm and 12 cm.
