Thenjipalam; A stray dog that had been wandering around Kohinoor for over three weeks with its head and neck trapped inside a plastic container was finally rescued .

Paramban Subramanyam, an employee of St Paul’s Higher Secondary School in Thenjipalam, managed to free the dog after luring it with food and carefully removing the tightly stuck container. His neighbour, Chithra Hariharan, also helped him in the rescue act.

“The dog had been spotted several times in Njarachali, but it would flee whenever anyone approached. It was a challenging task to catch and help it,” said Subramanyam. He added that though dog was tied up safely, removing the container was difficult but ultimately successful.
