Ekarool: A potential tragedy was averted in Ekarool thanks to KK Pranav, a Class 8 student who displayed remarkable maturity.

When a live electric wire snapped near his house in Vattoli Bazar, Pranav, son of Kalluvattukuzhikkal Shaju and a student of Sivapuram HGS School, acted swiftly. He immediately blocked off the accident site to prevent anyone from coming into contact with the live wire and raised an alert to warn the public.

His timely intervention earned him praise from both the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and his school authorities. KSEB Sub-Divisional Assistant Executive Engineer K Muhammad Unais presented him with a gift on behalf of the department.

School Headmistress V Shyma presided over the special function, organised to honour him. Balussery Assistant Engineer C Vijisha, along with several teachers, also spoke at the event. KSEB officials lauded Pranav’s presence of mind, calling his action a model for society.
