CPM, Congress workers clash in Kollam over school election; several injured

Kollam: Several people were injured after CPM and Congress workers clashed in Kadakkal over a dispute related to school elections. CPM Kattadimoodu branch secretary Vidhu was stabbed, while DYFI regional president Arun sustained head injuries.
“KSU won three seats in the election at Chingeli Government School. In response, SFI workers allegedly attacked KSU members. To protest the assault, Congress, Youth Congress and KSU workers held a march, which led to skirmishes between CPM and Congress," said ward member Suresh R C. "Several people have been injured. We are at the scene and trying to bring the situation under control," said Kadakkal SHO.
