Munnar: A security guard was found dead with severe head injuries in Munnar. The deceased has been identified as Rajapandi (56), a resident of Kannimala estate. He had been working as a security staff at Chokkanad estate under the KDHPC Company.

He was discovered lying in a pool of blood near the staff quarters close to the Chokkanad factory around 11 am on Saturday. Estate workers immediately alerted the police.

The police have raised suspicions of murder following initial investigations. CCTV footage confirmed that Rajapandi had left the factory premises after completing duty at 7 am.

Following this, attempts to contact him by phone went unanswered, and later he was found dead.
