Palakkad: The Congress party workers marched to the Town North Police Station, protesting the failure to arrest those responsible for the explosion near the RSS-controlled Vadakkanthara Vyasa Vidyapeetham School, which injured a student and others. The party also alleged a CPM-BJP collusion in the incident.

The march was stopped by the police at Valiyangadi. KPCC General Secretary B A Abdul Muthalib inaugurated the march. He alleged that the police were not lifting a finger against the culprits and that the explosion was a planned move by the BJP to seize power, keeping the upcoming local body elections in mind.
