Thiruvananthapuram: Monsoon showers are set to intensify in Kerala, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts on Tuesday, warning of isolated heavy rainfall.

The rain is expected to continue over the week, with alerts extended till August 29. According to IMD, parts of the state are likely to receive 7 cm to 11 cm of rainfall within 24 hours during this period.
