Appapara: Runners Meenkolli emerged as champions in the mud football competition held in the Edayoor paddy fields at Appapara. The event, titled Bediyatta Season 3 Mud Football, brought the spirit of soccer to life and created an electrifying atmosphere in the region.

The tournament was jointly organised by the Kudumbashree District Mission and Thirunelli CDS, under the guidance of Bayisak Youth Resources Tribal Centre Library, as part of the Thirunelli Tribal Comprehensive Development Project. The event was held under the theme `Let’s join our hands against addiction with a new addiction.'

A total of 13 youth clubs from the region participated in the event. Seven Star Konavayal finished runners-up, while Thudi Aravanazhi secured third place. The winners were awarded cash prizes and trophies. Jyotish of Seven Star Konavayal was adjudged the best goalkeeper, while Suresh of Runners Meenkolli was selected as the best player.

The tournament was inaugurated by P V Balakrishnan, president of the Thirunelli Panchayat. Kudumbashree State Mission Programme Officer C Prabhakaran, ADMC V K Rejeena, CDS chairperson Saumini and Shuhaib distributed prizes to the winners.
