Thiruvananthapuram: Tribal leader C K Janu on Saturday announced her decision to quit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), citing severe neglect by its leadership. The move was finalised at the state committee meeting of her party, Janadhipathya Rashtriya Sabha.
Janu, who has been associated with the NDA since the 2016 assembly elections, had contested from Sultan Bathery as the alliance’s candidate. In 2018, she quit the NDA alleging neglect by the BJP, and even held talks with CPI’s then state secretary Kanam Rajendran about joining the LDF. However, in 2021, she rejoined the NDA.
