State-run Supplyco has reported sales of over ₹73 crore within just five days of its Onam district fairs, held from August 25 to 29. Of this, more than ₹2 crore came solely from district-level fairs.

During this period, over 10 lakh customers visited Supplyco outlets across the state. By August 29, total sales for the month had touched ₹270 crore, of which ₹125 crore was from subsidised items. Overall, more than 42 lakh customers depended on Supplyco in August. The district Onam fairs had commenced across Kerala on August 25 and 26.

To meet festive demand, Supplyco outlets and Onam markets will remain open on Sunday (August 31) and also on Uthradam day (September 4). The move aims to ease shopping convenience amid the heavy Onam rush.
