Thiruvananthapuram: A fast-track special court (POCSO) in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday sentenced a man from Maranalloor to 55 years in prison for raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter. Special Judge Anju Meera Birla also imposed a fine of ₹40,000. If he fails to pay, he will face an additional two years and four months in jail.
The crimes took place between 2019 and 2020 after the accused, Anish, married the girl’s mother.
