Parappanangadi: Moozhikkal Aziz (33) and Kannakathu Navasmon (38), both natives of Thanoor Ottumpuram have been arrested for extorting money from merchant. Two days ago, the duo threatened Vallikkunnu panchayat member Muhammad Nissar47) who also owns a hotel near Poorappuzha and demanded money. Nissar quickly filed a police complaint. The culprits were summoned on the pretext of handing over the money. The police nabbed the quotation gang while handing over the cash. Meanwhile, cases have been filed against 11 people for conspiring. CI Vinod Valiyattoor, SI Salam, Subash, Joshi, San Soman, Abhilash and Sudheesh were in the team of policemen who arrested Aziz and Navasmon.
