Tirurangadi: The scuba diving team of the fire force dived into the depths of a well to recover the pension money and other important documents of AR Nagar Manchina native Karichi. Her mobile phone, bank pass book and pension amount of ₹8000 had fallen into the well at Kolappuram Government High School where she had come to have Onasadya as part of the Onam celebrations.

She reached the school on the way back from the bank. Karichi had secured the money and the documents in a plastic cover. However, the cover fell into the well by mistake. Although she tried to recover the cover, it began sinking when water entered the plastic cover. Soon, the fire force was alerted.    

The plastic cover with the pension money and the documents were recovered from the well by scuba divers Sandeep, Prince and Sajith of Tirur and Thanoor fire stations as well as civil defence members KT Ashraf, P Ravikumar, Faisal Njarakkadan and PT Shamseer.
