Kallara: Thirteen-year-old Vrinda has become a role model for her friends and family after she returned a gold chain worth ₹2 lakh to its owner. The PTA of her school and local residents honoured Vrinda for her kind gesture.

Vrinda, a class eight student of Mithrummala Government Girls HSS, is the daughter of Vinod and Thankam. She found the gold chain, weighing around 2.5 sovereigns, while returning from school on August 19. She informed her parents about it as soon as she reached home. Vinod and Thankam handed over the chain to Pangode police, who later traced the owner and returned it.
