Electric poles stand in dangerously slanting position near Kasaragod's Mattummal Bridge

Nileswaram: Locals have complained that electric poles located along the riverbank in the Kadinjimoola area, near Mattummal Bridge, are standing in a dangerously slanting state.
One such pole, on the river bank, is leaning precariously over the river. It is also visible that this pole has been propped up to prevent it from falling into the water
Another pole nearby also tilted Thursday evening. This pole, too, is in a condition where it could collapse at any moment. Locals said that they have reported the issue to the Padannakkad Electricity Section.
However, the Assistant Engineer of the Padannakkad Electricity Section explained that this has been a 'dead line' for some time and is only maintained for potential use if there is a fault in the currently active line, or as part of future feeder development.
Given the inherent danger in temporarily propping up the poles, locals demand that all poles in this hazardous state in the area should be safely restored reinstalled.
