Kochi: Former corporation councillor Gracy Joseph was stabbed, allegedly by her son, on Thursday. She sustained three stab wounds and was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi. Police said her son fled the scene after attacking her. The Ernakulam Town North police have launched an investigation.

The attack took place at a shop run by Gracy in Kaloor around 8 pm on Thursday. According to police, a quarrel broke out between Gracy and her son, following which he stabbed her with a knife.

Hospital authorities said Gracy’s condition is stable. Gracy Joseph was a Congress councillor representing the Kathrikadavu division from 2015 to 2020.
