Oravakkal: Rayan and Aiden are on cloud nine as their beloved pet parrot, which had been missing for over a week, was found. The Magna Double Yellow Amazon was spotted near Venugopalan Nair’s house at Lakkattur, around three kilometres from Oravakkal, after news about the missing bird appeared in Malayala Manorama. The parrot was weak, having been attacked by a murder of crows and unable to find food or water.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Magna Double Yellow Amazon said the parrot has already regained its health. The bird had flown away four days ago while its cage was being cleaned. Rayan and Aiden, who live in Ernakulam, had gone to their father’s house in Oravakkal to celebrate Onam and had taken their beloved Kannan along with them. The boys were heartbroken after Kannan went missing and refused to return to Ernakulam until the parrot was found.

They eventually agreed, half-heartedly, to return to Ernakulam after their father, Jubin Kurian, promised to bring Kannan back. Now, with Kannan found, the children are overjoyed. Jubin will soon return to Ernakulam with the parrot.
