Kalpetta: Priyanka Gandhi MP has visited the Hume Centre for Ecology and Wildlife Biology and has interacted with the scientists there. She also saw the weather equipment and the laboratories at the centre.

Meanwhile, the scientists made a presentation about the changes in the weather patterns in Wayanad and the studies regarding how to prevent wild animals from foraying into populated areas.

Priyanka Gandhi was also part of the detailed discussions about the unique culinary practises of the tribal communities and nutritional challenges faced by them. 

Priyanka Gandhi said that the researches conducted by the Hume Centre would be helpful for formulating policies in the future and would aid the administrations. She was welcomed by T Sidhique MLA, Hume Centre executive director CK Vishnudas, G Balagopal and sociologist Dr. TR Suma.
