Idukki: A KSRTC tourist bus carrying passengers from Kannur met with an accident near Panamkutty Kaithari around 9 pm on Sunday, leaving over 19 people injured. The passengers were returning to Kannur after visiting Ramakkalmedu.

The bus reportedly lost control, and the driver swerved into a mud mound to avoid a major mishap. Initial reports suggest brake failure as the cause. Traffic was disrupted following the incident.

The injured were taken to Adimali Taluk Hospital, and their condition is said to be stable. Residents criticised authorities for not installing warning signs on the accident-prone stretch.
