Thalassery: Police have sought the help of newspaper agents and milk distributors in their efforts to curb crimes and reduce accidents. It was Thalassery ASP PB Kiran who convened a meeting of the newspaper agents and milk distributors within the subdivision. Although newspaper agents were present at the meeting, milk distributors gave it a miss.

The SHOs of the sub-division also attended this meeting. Newspaper agents and milk distributors were summoned as they are usually on the road during the early hours of the day. The ASP urged them to quickly alert the control room or respective police stations if they notice anything untoward at wee hours.

The police authorities asked them to report cases of accident victims lying on the road, spotting children or youngsters both in the urban and rural areas during late night or early hours and vehicles breaking laws.
