Thenhipalam: Two young swimmers from Chelembra have earned qualification to represent Kerala in the National Aquathlon.

N K Nabhan and Mitra Hari have achieved the feat at the State Aquathlon Championship, organised by the State Triathlon Association in Thrissur. Nabhan clinched the championship title in the junior category by swimming 0.75 km and running 5 km, while Mitra Hari secured the bronze medal in the sub-junior category, completing a 350 m swim followed by a 3 km run.

Both athletes are students of NNM Higher Secondary School, Chelembra. While Nabhan is a Plus Two student, Mitra is in Class 9. They are also members of the Chelembra Swimfin Swimming Academy, where they trained under the guidance of coach Hashir Chelupadam.
