Kochi: The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Kakkanad has sent a notice to actor Unni Mukundan in the case involving the assault of his former manager. He has to appear before the court on October 27. The police had filed a charge-sheet in the case stating that Unni Mukundan did not assault his former manager, Vipin Kumar, and that only a physical altercation took place.

The charges-theet filed in the court states that during the assault, the manager's glasses fell and broke, and his wrist was slightly bruised. Following Mukundan's arrival at his manager's flat, the incident took place in the parking lot. However, there is no evidence of assault in the CCTV cameras or witness statements. The police have corded detailed statements of the complainant and Mr Mukundan.

The actor had filed a complaint with the DGP while the police were investigating his manager's complaint against him. In his complaint, he demanded an investigation into the conspiracy behind the incident. He also stated that the truth behind the incident would come out. His manager, Vipin, had alleged that he was verbally abused and beaten on the face, head and chest after being questioned for giving a positive review to Tovino Thomas' film 'Narivetta'.
