Four arrested for assaulting resort staff, friend in Sulthan Bathery

Sulthan Bathery: Police arrested four youths for barging into a resort at Poothikkad near here and attacking a resort employee and a friend.
The apprehended are Thekkumkattil T Nidhun (35), a native of Puthankunnu; Noormahal Muhammed Jereer (32), a native of Dottappankulam; Kochupurakkal Abin K Bavas (32), a native of Kadalmadu; and Panachamoottil Ajin Baby (32), a native of Chulliode.
Except for Abin, the other three have several criminal cases registered against them. According to police, the accused allegedly stormed into the resort at night and assaulted the complainant and his friend using their hands and iron rods. The gang also caused extensive damage to the resort.
Police have registered cases for causing grievous injuries with weapons, attempt to murder, and unlawful entry into the resort.
A police team headed by Sulthan Bathery Sub-Inspector M Raveendran arrested the accused on Thursday. Produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sulthan Bathery, all the accused were remanded to judicial custody.
