Chennalode: Local residents have urged the authorities to immediately complete the construction of the protection wall around the Thariyodu Community Health Centre, located along the Kalpetta–Padinjarethara road, as the stalled work is causing major inconvenience.

The soil and debris left behind after the old wall was demolished are now spreading across the area. With the rains, the site has turned into a pool of mud, creating further hardships. Since the location is close to a bus stop, commuters are also facing serious difficulties.

Authorities explained that the work was disrupted due to disputes over construction. While Rs.5.5 lakh had been allocated for building a new wall along with a gate, the project was halted following demands to provide adequate space for setting up a bus stop. Officials said discussions are underway to resolve the issue and assured that the work would resume soon.
