Ernakulam: The Kerala government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) to implement land pooling for the Infopark Phase III project.

GCDA has been assigned the task of pooling 300 acres at Kizhakkambalam in Ernakulam under the Kerala Town and Country Planning Act, 2016. Though the site falls outside GCDA’s jurisdiction, the government has granted it special powers under Section 71 of the Act to proceed with the project.

The decision follows a request from the GCDA Secretary, who sought authorisation to conduct land pooling in Kizhakkambalam Panchayat. After a detailed examination, the government issued an order empowering GCDA to carry out the work, paving the way for the Infopark expansion.
