Thiruvananthapuram: HLL Lifecare Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, observed World Heart Day 2025 on September 29 at its Peroorkada factory.

As part of the global theme “Don’t Miss a Beat”, a 5-km walkathon was organised to promote physical activity and awareness on heart health. Chairperson and Managing Director Dr Anita Thampi flagged off the event, which saw the participation of around 250 employees. Directors Ajith N (Marketing), Ramesh P (Finance), and other senior officials were also present.

The event featured sessions on stress management and heart-friendly diets, a raw food exhibition, and free heart check-ups for retired employees. Similar walkathons and awareness programmes were also held at HLL’s Kochi, Irapuram, and Kanagala units.
