Thrissur: Excise officials arrested two men and seized 40.057 grams of MDMA, valued at around ₹2 lakh, during a raid at Mullakkara, Mannuthy, early Monday.

The arrested - Sinto Antony (32) and Muhammed Shafeer (23) - are natives of Ollukkara.

They were nabbed around 2 am in a joint operation by the Thrissur Excise Special Squad and the Excise Intelligence & Investigation Bureau. Officials said the contraband had been smuggled from Bengaluru.
