Kerala Pottery Corporation chairman arrested for taking bribe in flowerpot supply deal

Thrissur: The Vigilance on Wednesday arrested the chairman of the Kerala State Clay Pottery Marketing and Development Corporation for allegedly demanding commission in connection with the supply of flowerpots. The accused is Kuttamani KN, a native of Villadam, Thrissur.
Vigilance officials said that Kuttamani demanded ₹3 per piece as commission from a pottery unit owner at Chittissery, Thrissur, for a supply order of 5,372 flowerpots meant for the Valanchery Krishi Bhavan.
Acting on the complaint of the unit owner, the Vigilance team trapped him while he was accepting the first instalment of ₹10,000 at the Indian Coffee House, Thrissur North Stand. The Vigilance team officially recorded the arrest.
