Kerala Pottery Corporation chairman removed after arrest on bribery charges

Thrissur: The chairman of the Kerala Pottery Corporation, Kuttamani KN, was removed from his post with immediate effect following his arrest by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on charges of bribery.
According to a government order issued on Wednesday, "Kuttamani KKN, chairman of the Kerala State Pottery Manufacturing, Marketing, Welfare and Development Corporation, is hereby relieved from the post with immediate effect."
Vigilance arrested Kuttamani for demanding ₹3 per piece as commission from a pottery unit owner at Chittissery, Thrissur, for a supply order of 5,372 flowerpots meant for the Valanchery Krishi Bhavan.
Acting on the complaint of the unit owner, the Vigilance team caught him while he was accepting the first instalment of ₹10,000 at the Indian Coffee House, Thrissur North Stand.
