Kochi: Amidst her busy schedule delivering justice, Judicial First Class Magistrate N Ashwathy has realised her long-cherished dream of staging a dance performance.

Having resumed learning classical dance after pausing midway through her school years, Ashwathy, now serving as Judicial First Class Magistrate in North Paravur, made her debut performance at the age of 39. A native of Mavelikkara, she adorned the chilanka (dancing anklet) after a year of rigorous training under Priya Anil Kumar of Cherai. Her debut took place on Vijayadashami day at the Navarathri Mandapam in Chottanikkara temple.

Ashwathy fulfilled her childhood dream with the wholehearted support of her husband, Ranjith Chandran, Deputy Press Registrar General of India. Their five-year-old son, Niranjan, was also present at the venue to witness his mother’s debut performance.
