Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Lottery Department has issued a warning to the public against falling prey to fraudulent online and mobile app schemes being circulated in the name of Kerala lotteries.

Lottery Director Dr Mithun Premraj clarified that Kerala State Lotteries are sold only through authorised agents and sellers within the state. There is no online sale or official tie-up with any website or mobile application for ticket distribution.

Reports have emerged of certain groups falsely claiming to be “official online partners” of Kerala Lotteries and misleading customers through social media, online platforms and mobile apps. The department has urged people to stay vigilant and avoid such scams.

The official stressed that any such misleading advertisements or fraudulent promotions will invite strict legal action.
