Cherpulassery: Minister V Abdurahiman inaugurated the Life Nagar housing project in Nellaya Panchayat and officially launched the ‘One Panchayat, One Ground’ initiative at 10 am today in Manjakkal. The event was presided over by MLA P. Mammikutty.

The Life Nagar project has been developed for ten families, with each house built at a cost of ₹4 lakh. In addition, construction is underway on 11 standalone houses in the panchayat.

As part of the state government’s mission to provide well-equipped playgrounds in every panchayat, a modern sports ground is being constructed at Manjakkal. The project has an estimated cost of ₹1 crore, with ₹50 lakh each contributed by the State Sports Department and the MLA’s local area development fund.

The Sports Kerala Foundation has prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) after completing a thorough review.

Panchayat president K Ajesh said the ground will include a gallery, 20-foot-high fencing, developed mud surface, floodlights, drainage system, and a gated entrance.
