Puthuppally: Puthuppally Sadhu, the beloved tusker who recently recovered from a stomach ailment, made his first public appearance since recovery with a visit to the St. George Orthodox Church (Valiya Palli) in Puthuppally.
Sadhu was warmly welcomed by parish vicars, members of the church managing committee, Chandy Oommen MLA, and a large gathering of devotees. Parish Vicar Fr. Andrews T. John led a special prayer during the occasion.

In a symbolic gesture of devotion, the elephant offered a traditional namaskaram at the stone cross on the eastern side of the church, followed by three ceremonial circumambulations.

The visit was in fulfilment of a vow made by Sadhu’s owner — a promise to bring the elephant to the church if he made a full recovery.

Later in the day, Sadhu also visited the Nedumkunnam Devi Temple, offering darshan there as well.
