Anjarakandy: A first-year graduate student was reportedly assaulted by senior students as part of ragging. Muhammad Nafih (18), a native of Chakkarakkal, is currently admitted to the medical college hospital in Anjarakandy. Nafih is a first-year BBA student at Irikkur SIGBA College. The student stated that senior students took him to the washroom and struck him on the head. He was admitted to the hospital after complaining of severe pain.

Meanwhile, Nafih’s father said that junior students are not even allowed to wear new shoes or watches to college. He added that the family will take legal action against the two senior students who attacked Nafih if the college authorities fail to respond.
