The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has called for a thorough investigation into the “unnatural death” of Kerala IT professional Anandu Aji. The organisation described some of the allegations in his alleged suicide note, which circulated on social media as “dubious and baseless.”

“The unnatural death of Sri Anandu Aji, one of our Swayamsevaks from Elikkulam in Kottayam district, is very sad and unfortunate. His family has long been associated with the Sangh; his father, Late Sri Aji, was a Sangh Karyakartha,” said RSS Dakshin Kerala prant’s joint general secretary K B Sreekumar.

He added that RSS Kottayam has submitted a written petition to district police, urging a “comprehensive and impartial inquiry” to determine the real cause of Aji’s death. “We believe an independent investigation will ensure the truth is revealed and affirm RSS’s innocence in this unfortunate case,” he said.

The Congress had demanded that the RSS be named in the FIR and called for a fair, time-bound investigation. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on X that Aji alleged repeated sexual abuse by multiple RSS members in his suicide message, and emphasised that the “code of silence around these heinous crimes must be broken.” The BJP countered the Congress narrative, calling it politically motivated. MP and national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi described the case as “suspicious” and urged the Kerala government to conduct a free and fair investigation. He expressed condolences to Aji’s family and stressed the need for a prompt inquiry to remove the “veil of suspicion” surrounding the case.
