President Murmu to begin four-day Kerala visit on Oct 21; Sabarimala, Sivagiri among key stops

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Kerala on October 21, a day ahead of her earlier schedule, for a four-day visit. The itinerary includes visits to Sabarimala and Sivagiri, unveiling of former president K R Narayanan’s statue, and participation in milestone celebrations at two prominent colleges in the state.
According to the official schedule, the President will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 2.30 pm on October 21 in a special Indian Air Force aircraft from Delhi. After the ceremonial reception, she will proceed to Raj Bhavan for dinner and rest.
October 22 (Wednesday): President Murmu will travel by helicopter to Nilakkal at 9.25 am and then to Pampa at 11 am. She will visit the Sabarimala temple around 11.50 am and have lunch and rest at the Sabarimala guest house. Later, she will return to Thiruvananthapuram by 4.20 pm and spend the night at Raj Bhavan.
October 23 (Thursday): She will unveil a half-body statue of former president K R Narayanan at the Raj Bhavan premises at 10.30 am. The President will then fly to Varkala at 11.55 am and reach Sivagiri by 12.50 pm to attend the centenary celebrations of Sri Narayana Guru’s Mahasamadhi as the chief guest.
After lunch at Sivagiri, she will travel to Pala to attend the platinum jubilee celebrations of St Thomas College at 4.15 pm. Following the event, she will fly to Kottayam at 5.10 pm and proceed to the Taj Resort in Kumarakom for an overnight stay.
October 24 (Friday): President Murmu will fly from Kottayam to Kochi at 11 am. After the reception at the Kochi Naval Airport, she will travel to St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, to attend its centenary celebrations as the chief guest from 12.10 pm to 1 pm.
She will have lunch at the Bolgatty Palace Hotel before leaving for Nedumbassery by helicopter at 3.45 pm. The President will depart for Delhi at 4.15 pm aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft, marking the end of her Kerala visit.
