Thrikkarippur: Moitheen alias Moithu, the beloved entertainer of Thrikkarippur who brought joy to the town with his dance and songs, has passed away. Moithu, who was regarded as the town’s guardian and shared a warm bond with everyone, was found dead yesterday.

He was discovered in the place where he usually slept, with the cause of death identified as a heart attack. In Thrikkarippur, every morning was brightened by Moithu’s presence. A passionate lover of movies, he often mimicked popular actors and delighted audiences with his performances.

Moithu’s dance and humour shows drew a large following. Despite carrying personal sorrows quietly, he spread happiness to all around him. Residents frequently invited him to perform at various events, making him an integral part of Thrikkarippur’s life for over three decades. People of all ages were deeply attached to him.

After a postmortem at Kannur Government Medical College, his body was brought for public viewing at Thrikkarippur bus stand, where a large number of people came to pay their last respects.
