Thrissur: Mayalam film actor Urvashi publicly criticised the worsening traffic congestion in Thrissur while speaking at an event attended by Minister of Land Revenue K Rajan in Nadathara. The function was organised to honour veteran actor T G Ravi for completing 50 years in cinema.

Sharing her personal experience, Urvashi said she was stuck in a long traffic jam on her way to the venue. “Has Thrissur now become the land of permanent traffic blocks?” she asked, drawing laughter from the audience.

Addressing the minister directly, she added, “This is not the Thrissur I knew. The city has developed a lot, but the traffic is unbearable. The next time I come here, I hope to see a Thrissur without blocks, that is my request to the minister.” Her candid remarks struck a chord with the crowd, highlighting a concern shared by many residents.
