Stray dog attacks 11 people in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Eleven people were attacked by a stray dog at Kallachi in Nadapuram here on Tuesday. The injured have sought treatment at the Nadapuram Taluk Government Hospital.
The incident occurred after 6 pm between Kallachi Town and Payanthong. The dog, which appeared aggressive, bit anyone who came in its path.
"The dog bit several people. All of them have sought treatment at the Taluk Hospital," said ward member Nisha.
Many of the injured were bitten on their legs or hands, said Sasi, a relative of the injured Babu Vadakke Chathyalam Veettil. Babu was attacked while walking on Cheeyooru Road.
People who sustained serious injuries have been referred to the Kozhikode Government Medical College hospital.
