Kanjirappuzha: V Prafuldas, a plus two student at Pottassery Government Higher Secondary School, is thrilled as the verse he penned has been chosen as the theme song for this year’s state school sports meet. The song “Paduthuyartham Kayika Lahari, Kerala Mannil Haramaya” perfectly captures the spirit of the sports meet, which will be conducted in the Olympics model.

Interestingly, this is the first time that a theme song has been prepared for a state school meet. The school meet began on Tuesday in Thiruvananthapuram. 

Praful’s song was selected as a theme song in a contest held for school students across the state. Prafuldas, who is the president of the school parliament, is an excellent orator and coordinator. Besides, he is also the leader of the NSS unit in his school. Principal P Santhosh Kumar said the school and the village are proud of Praful’s incredible achievement.

Prafuldas, science stream students, is the son of Mannarkad Kottopadam Shivasailam T Preman and V Shobana. V Rahuldas is his brother.
