Kumarakom: The children of Government UP School are still glowing with joy after a truly special encounter — receiving toffees directly from the President of India herself! Some of the students have even said they’ll treasure the wrappers as keepsakes, comparing them to `peacock feathers’ — a reminder of an unforgettable day.

Raji Abilash, the school headmistress, along with other teachers, expressed their delight knowing that the President’s visit would be a memory these young students will cherish forever. With prior permission from the police, the teachers took the children to the roadside, where around 60 students gathered early in the morning at the junction, eager to catch a glimpse of the President’s motorcade.

What they didn’t expect, however, was the President’s personal gesture. Rather than simply passing by, she stopped to approach the children and handed out the toffees herself, leaving the students and their teachers overwhelmed with joy.
