Due to the ongoing heavy rainfall in Thrissur district, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions, including professional colleges, on Tuesday as a precautionary measure.

The order applies to all educational institutions, including CBSE, ICSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, anganwadis, madrassas, and tuition centres, according to the district collector.

However, previously scheduled examinations, interviews, and the District Science Fair will be held as planned.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts on Tuesday. No alerts have been issued for Thrissur district.
