Thiruvananthapuram: The SSLC examinations for the academic year 2025–26 will be held from March 5 to March 30, Education Minister V Sivankutty announced on Wednesday. The exams will begin at 9 am.

As many as 4,25,000 students are expected to appear for the exams next year. Around 3,000 exam centres will be set up across the state, including centres in nine locations in Lakshadweep and seven regions in the Gulf.

While the IT model examinations will be conducted from January 12 to 22, the IT exams will be held from February 2 to 13. The SSLC model exams are scheduled from February 16 to 20.

Applications for the SSLC exams can be submitted between November 12 and 19, while late applications with a fine will be accepted from November 21 to 26.

Evaluation of answer sheets will be carried out from April 7 to 25, and results are expected to be announced on May 8, 2026.

The Higher Secondary (HSE) and Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE) first-year examinations will be held from March 5 to 26, starting at 1.30 pm, while the second-year exams are scheduled from March 6 to 28, beginning at 9.30 am. The second-year practical examinations will commence on January 22. Model exams for both first and second-year students will be conducted from February 16 to 26.

Students can submit the examination application fee until November 7. Applications with a fine will be accepted until November 13, and those with a superfine until November 25.

A total of nine lakh students will appear for the HSE and VHSE examinations across 2,000 centres, including those in the Gulf and Lakshadweep. The evaluation process will begin on April 6, and results are expected to be declared on May 22, 2026.
