Thrissur: PAWS, an animal rescue and welfare group, has turned saviours for the puppies that were abandoned by someone on the road. There were nine puppies when they were found abandoned two weeks ago on the road. But now, only six remain. PAWS has been taking care of the puppies, providing them with shelter and food.

Nine puppies were found abandoned on the Padinjarekotta Netaji road in front of PAWS’ office. PAWS then took in the puppies, fed them and gave them shelter. PAWS founder Preethi Sreevalsan said that they are feeding the puppies five times a day.

Besides, they are given proper treatment and medicines too. She added that vaccines and injections would be given soon.

Meanwhile, she stated that PAWS cannot take in all the puppies that are abandoned and requested the public to stop dropping them in front of their office. Those who are interested in adopting the puppies should contact: 9048615414.
