Kalyassery: Two brothers who appeared for the same police recruitment exam, secured places on the same rank list, and completed their training together have now joined the Kerala Police force side by side.

At the passing-out parade held on Monday morning at the KAP Fourth Battalion in Mangattuparambu, C Abhijith and his younger brother C Navaneeth from Kololath in Chalode marched together as they were officially inducted into the force.

The brothers studied up to Class 10 at Koodali High School. Abhijith, who holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Thalassery Engineering College, joined the KAP Battalion in January this year along with Navaneeth. The duo underwent training in the same company throughout the programme.

They are the sons of Ashok Kumar of Kololath and C Preetha, a teacher at Mattannur UP School. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan received the salute during the parade, which began at 8.30 AM .
