Thrissur: Poonkunnam native Shryas Kiran who embraced the magic of music and immersed himself in the world of colours, by overcoming Autism has won this year’s National Shreshta Divyangjan Award.

The award will be presented by President Draupadi Murmu in a special ceremony on December 3. Shreyas who has completed graduation in Carnatic music often conducts concerts across the state. Meanwhile, he has also sung and acted in a music album.

Besides music, Shreyas is interested in painting too. His sculptures and paintings have been exhibited at the government galleries in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Shreyas has also found a place in the International Book of Records as well as the World Wide Book of Records for his incredible talents. He often shares his songs, paintings and also recipes in his YouTube channel.

Shreyas who has also earned a diploma in food production is quite interested in cooking and tries unique recipes. Meanwhile, the youngster who is a student at the autism centre in Peringav is currently training in Hindustani music at the Manav music school. Shreyas is the son of Sudheer Kumar and Sreeja. Shashank is his younger brother.
