Sajeev NU has won first prize in the Manorama Yuva Hortus Malayalam story-writing competition for college students. The award carries a cash prize of ₹30,000 and a citation. The competition was organised in connection with the Manorama Arts and Literary Festival to be held in Kochi Subhash Park from November 27 to 30.

Shafi Poovathingal won the second prize worth ₹20,000, while the third prize of ₹15,000 went to Gokul Gopan. DP Abhijith’s story received a special mention award (₹10,000). A jury comprising writers Manoj Kuroor, S Sithara, and Santhosh Aechikkanam selected the winners.
